Wrap colorful pipe cleaners around faux pumpkins for a no-carve Halloween craft that's quick and fun.
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at designimprovised.com.
This easy project transforms plain pumpkins into vibrant decorations using pipe cleaners and hot glue. Simply wrap pipe cleaners along the pumpkin's crevices, securing with glue. For extra flair, add confetti-like pieces of cut pipe cleaners.
You'll need
Directions
- Put a tiny drop of hot glue on the pumpkin's top at the start of a crevice, then press one end of a pipe cleaner into it. Use the low heat setting to protect your fingers—thick pipe cleaners work great, but standard ones also do.
- Wind the pipe cleaner down the pumpkin’s groove, securing it with a glue dot midway and another at the bottom.
- Repeat around the pumpkin, covering every crevice with a pipe cleaner. I used four different colors, switching between them.
- For a confetti look, snip standard pipe cleaners into small bits and attach them to the pumpkin with a tiny glue dab on the back.
