Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at magiamia.blogspot.com.
Learn how to decorate mini pumpkins using paint for classic or glowing designs, or create a unique look by weaving elastic cording between pins.
You'll need
Directions
- Gather a collection of small pumpkins in either white or orange hues.
- Apply your chosen paint colors, such as black, to the surface of the gourds.
- Create intricate patterns like spider webs or skeletal figures on the painted skin.
- To achieve a luminescent finish, start by coating the pumpkin with a base layer of light paint, allow it to dry completely, and then apply the glow-in-the-dark paint on top.
- For a design that requires no paint, insert short, flat-headed straight pins into the pumpkin until they are halfway embedded.
- Stretch and wrap thin silver elastic cording between the inserted pins.
- Secure the ends of the cording with a knot, then push the pins fully into the pumpkin to complete the look.
