Create adorable Halloween puppets with these printable templates. Simply color, cut, and fold the pieces, then glue on accessories and strap loops for hand control. Perfect for spooky storytelling fun!

Directions

Get the Halloween puppet templates by downloading them, then print onto white cardstock.

If your templates are black and white, use colored pencils, markers, or crayons to add color.

Cut around the puppet shape to separate it from the accessory pieces, but avoid cutting on the dotted lines—they are fold guides.

Fold the puppet along each of the three dotted lines. Using a ruler helps make crisp, straight creases.

Now cut out both the puppet and all accessory pieces.

For the zombie puppet: using a craft knife, cut a slit in the lower lip. Apply glue to the teeth, slide them through the slit, and press to secure. For the vampire puppet: cut two slits on the upper lip, then insert the fangs through them and glue in place.

Attach all remaining accessories to the puppet body with glue.

Fold the puppet in half, then fold the eye side upward.

Turn the puppet over and fold the bottom section upward.

Fold the edges of the strap pieces.

Glue the straps in an arch shape onto the back of the puppet, following the illustration.

Insert your hand and thumb into the loops to control the puppet's movements.
