This Halloween dessert hack turns six teacakes into creepy eyeball treats using giant white chocolate buttons, Smarties, and red and black writing icing. The process involves piping red veins onto the chocolate buttons, attaching a Smartie as the iris, adding a black pupil, and then securing each finished eyeball to a teacake with a dab of icing before serving.
Ingredients
Directions
- Squeeze the red icing tube to create a squiggly, vein-like pattern across the surface of one white chocolate button.
- Press a Smartie onto the center of the red design. If it feels loose, secure it with a small amount of additional red icing. Once set, use the black icing to draw a tiny circle in the middle of the Smartie to form the pupil.
- Continue this process until all six white chocolate buttons have been transformed into eyeballs.
- Remove the wrappers from the teacakes. Apply a small dot of writing icing to the bottom of each chocolate eyeball and press it firmly onto the top of a teacake.
- Arrange the finished treats on a serving dish and share them with your guests!
