Start with clean skin and trim the prosthetic to fit. Apply liquid latex to the back, press it onto your skin, then blend the edges. Use cream makeup in reds, purples, and darks to create bruising, add fake blood, and set with powder for a creepy finish.

Directions

  1. Start by washing your skin so you have a clean surface. If the prosthetic is too large, trim it to fit the spot you want. Hold it up to see where it goes before you add any liquid latex.
  2. Once you're ready, spread a thin and even coat of liquid latex onto the back of the wound piece. Make sure the whole area that will touch your skin is covered.
  3. Gently put the prosthetic exactly where you want it on your skin. Press it down lightly so it sticks well.
  4. Using a makeup sponge or brush, blend the edges of the prosthetic into your skin. This makes the transition from fake to real look smooth.
  5. Now color the wound and the skin around it with cream makeup. Use reds and purples inside the wound to copy bruising. Add darker shades like black and brown around the edges for depth. Mix the colors together well.
  6. Put fake blood on the wound and the nearby area to make it look real. For a scarier effect, let it drip and collect in pools.
  7. Finish by dusting a little setting powder over the wound and the makeup around it. This keeps everything in place and stops smudging.
