This recipe guides you through making creamy chocolate pudding shot glasses topped with cookie 'dirt' and decorated with edible graveyard elements like marshmallow ghosts, spider webs, and tombstone cookies. Perfect for a festive Halloween gathering, these treats combine rich flavors with playful, spooky visuals.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of the coconut milk with the arrowroot or tapioca starch until smooth, then set it aside.
  2. Pour the rest of the coconut milk into a saucepan along with the cocoa powder and maple syrup. Whisk everything over medium-low heat until well combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly. Once it bubbles, lower the heat to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the dark chocolate chips, vanilla extract, pink salt, and the reserved coconut starch mixture. Keep whisking until the chocolate is fully melted and everything is smooth.
  5. For an extra silky texture, transfer the pudding to a high-speed blender and process for 30 seconds.
  6. Allow the pudding to cool slightly, then spoon it into shot glasses, filling each about two-thirds full. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until the pudding is fully set.
  7. Place the chocolate sandwich cookies, including the cream filling, into a high-speed blender. Pulse until they are finely ground to look like dirt.
  8. For a chunkier texture, stir 1/2 to 1 cup of the crushed cookies directly into the pudding mixture before pouring it into the glasses.
  9. Top the set pudding with the remaining cookie crumbs to create a dirt layer.
  10. Use the black frosting to write 'RIP' on the Milano cookies. Allow the frosting to dry completely before placing the cookies upright in the dirt. Tuck edible flowers in front of the cookies for a graveyard effect.
  11. Draw eyes and a mouth on the marshmallows using the black frosting. Let them dry, then skewer each ghost onto a toothpick before sticking them into the dirt.
  12. Microwave a few marshmallows for 10 seconds, then stretch the melted bits between your fingers to form a spider web over the shot glass. Attach candy eyeballs to unwrapped chocolate peanut butter cups with the frosting for the spider's face. Place the cup in the center of the web and use melted chocolate or black frosting to draw eight legs. Chill to help the chocolate set.
  13. Serve the dessert shots while cold.
