These spooky roasted potato skulls are a fun and delicious Halloween treat. Baby potatoes are carved into skull shapes, seasoned with smoked paprika and garlic, then roasted until golden. Serve them as a side or with ketchup for dipping.

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a small paring knife, carefully carve each baby potato into a skull shape.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using).
  4. Add the carved potatoes to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the oil and spice mixture.
  5. Arrange the potatoes face-up on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 25–35 minutes, until golden and fork-tender.
  6. Sprinkle with a little extra salt and serve plain or with ketchup for dipping.
