You'll need
Directions
- Prepare your pumpkin by cutting a square opening about 6 to 8 inches wide in the back, keeping the cut piece as a door. Use an old CD to scrape out the pulp and seeds through this opening, then wipe the exterior clean with an antibacterial wipe.
- Print your chosen Squid Game pumpkin stencil on a standard 8.5x11 inch sheet of paper.
- Place the stencil over a sheet of carbon transfer paper, then pin both to the pumpkin using plastic push pins. Trace firmly over every stencil line with a ballpoint pen to transfer the design. Remove the pins, stencil, and transfer paper, then go over the transferred lines with a fine-point Sharpie.
- For areas meant to glow less brightly, use the Kemper ribbon tool and linoleum cutter to scrape off the top layers of the pumpkin skin without cutting all the way through. Then, following the Sharpie lines, carve into the pumpkin with a pointed serrated utility knife.
- Clean the pumpkin's exterior again with another antibacterial wipe to remove any leftover marker or carbon transfer marks.
- Insert a battery-powered LED string light (warm tone) through the back opening, then close the door by fitting the saved cut piece back into place.
