Cover artificial pumpkins with fabric strips using decoupage medium for a chic, textured look. Cut fabric into 2x4-inch strips, apply them to the pumpkin with overlapping layers, and let dry. Smooth pumpkins with shallow ridges work best for this project.

Directions
- Cut your chosen fabric into strips roughly 2 inches wide and 4 inches long. These smaller pieces will be easier to work with when covering the curves of the pumpkins.
- Set the faux pumpkin on wax paper, parchment paper, or aluminum foil to protect your workspace. Use a 1-inch artist brush to apply a thin layer of decoupage medium onto the pumpkin's surface. Press a fabric strip into the wet glue, then immediately brush a generous layer of decoupage medium over it until the fabric is fully soaked. Continue this process by brushing more medium next to the previous strip and overlapping each new strip slightly, covering the entire pumpkin. Trim any excess fabric as needed. Let the pumpkin dry by hanging it from its stem or placing it on a raised surface like a metal can. For best results, choose pumpkins that are smooth with shallow ridges.
