Turkeys in Hats
A fun card game where you describe turkeys in hats and discard matching ones—but you can't discard your own!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at queen-of-theme-party-games.com.
Players compete to discard all their turkey cards by calling out combinations of feather colors, hat types, and accessories. The twist: you can only discard a turkey when another player describes it, not your own. The first to clear their hand wins.
Directions
- Print out the turkey in hats cards and the six reference cards, then cut them out.
- Mix up the turkey cards and distribute them equally among players. If needed, remove extra cards so each player gets the same number. Players can look at their own cards but keep them hidden from others.
- On each turn, a player picks three details from the reference card list: one feather color from red, orange, or gold; one hat style from Bowler, Cowboy, Beret, or Snow; and one accessory from Glasses, Necklace, or Bow-tie.
- After the selecting player announces those three traits, anyone who has a turkey card with all three matching features can discard that card.
- You are not allowed to pick describers that would discard your own turkey. A turkey can only be discarded when another player calls out its traits.
- The first player to get rid of all their turkey cards wins the game.
