Transform everyday snacks into festive Halloween delights with these three straightforward recipes. Create spooky apple pops, a spider-themed pizza with cheese ghosts, and decorated pretzel eyes for a fun and delicious party spread.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare two plates by covering them with parchment paper. Peel a handful of Granny Smith apples and use a melon baller to carve out small spheres. Gently blot the apple balls with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Push a lollipop stick into each sphere, then blot them once more. Roll the apple pops in melted white candy melts, followed by a coating of orange, purple, black, or green sprinkles. For a whimsical touch, attach candy googly eyes and sprinkle-on eyelashes to create silly expressions. Place the treats on the prepared plates and refrigerate for 10 minutes to set.
  2. Spread pizza sauce and shredded mozzarella over a pre-made pizza crust. To craft the spider, slice a pitted black olive in half lengthwise, then cut a second olive into eight thin strips for legs. Position the olive pieces on the pizza using tweezers for precision. Bake the pizza according to the package instructions. While it bakes, slice a ball of fresh mozzarella into ¼-inch rounds. Use a paring knife to trim these rounds into ghost silhouettes. During the final three minutes of baking, arrange the cheese ghosts on the pizza and complete the cooking process. For convenience, you can cut free-form ghost shapes directly from pre-sliced mozzarella. Finish by adding small olive pieces as eyes. Serve the pizza while warm.
  3. Arrange yogurt-covered pretzels on a sheet of parchment paper. Melt several varieties of candy melts following the package directions. Transfer each melted color into its own zip-top plastic bag and snip a tiny corner off. Allow the bags to cool slightly before piping the candy into the pretzel holes to form eyes. While the candy is still wet, let children decorate the pupils using colorful sprinkles or tiny candies.
