This Halloween game has children draw a scene while keeping their eyes closed as you read a story. Pause between steps so they can complete each part. At the end, they open their eyes to see their spooky masterpieces.
Directions
- Ask the children to shut their eyes and begin sketching while you narrate.
- Throughout the reading, they must keep their eyes shut. No sneaking a look—that spoils the fun! They'll illustrate the eerie scene as you tell the tale.
- Remember to stop briefly after each number so they can finish that part of the drawing.
- When you finish, they may open their eyes to admire their creations.
