This guide offers creative ideas for setting up a Halloween-themed beverage station suitable for all ages. It includes tips on how to present drinks in a festive manner and suggests a variety of non-alcoholic drink options that are perfect for the occasion.

About this

A Halloween drinks-station concept from Pink Peppermint Design built around non-alcoholic Halloween drinks for kids and adults. It explains how to dress up a drink table with specialty sodas, science-lab glassware (beakers and graduated cylinders) and black-and-white striped straws, with a suggested plastic version of the same setup for kids. It also teases a follow-up DIY spider ice bucket and links out to related Halloween DIYs and free printables.

The plan

  1. Set up a drink table or station and use your favorite non-alcoholic Halloween drink recipes.
  2. Alternatively, simply stock the drink table with fun sodas and juices so guests can mix up their own concoctions.
  3. Decide who the station is for: use glass beakers and graduated glass cylinders for adults, and plastic beakers, plastic cups and plastic graduated cylinders if the station is for kids.
  4. Add black-and-white striped straws to tie the display to Halloween.
  5. Plan to add a spider ice bucket (the DIY for it was promised in a follow-up post) for a creepy touch.
  6. Remember that presentation matters for both the kids' and adults' versions of the display.

Decoration ideas

  • Skip regular cups and glasses — serve drinks in glass beakers and graduated glass cylinders for a spookier look.
  • For kids, swap the glass for plastic beakers, plastic cups and plastic graduated cylinders.
  • Add black-and-white striped straws; the color contrast works well against the bright drinks and fits Halloween.
  • Display specialty sodas such as 'curiosity cola' on the drink table for a spooky soiree.
  • Use brightly colored sodas like Jarritos on the display for pops of color.
  • Work in a DIY spider ice bucket to give the drink setup a creepy finishing touch.

Food & drink

  • Non-alcoholic Halloween drinks made from your favorite recipes.
  • Fun sodas and juices guests can use to build their own drinks.
  • Specialty sodas such as 'curiosity cola'.
  • Brightly colored sodas like Jarritos.

Activities

  • Let guests mix up their own drink concoctions from the stocked sodas and juices.
  • Present the drinks as a 'science lab' station so guests pour their own drinks from beakers and cylinders.
