This Halloween bark starts with a base of popcorn and nuts coated in a dark chocolate and black candy mixture. After freezing, a layer of red candy melts is drizzled on top and sprinkled with more popcorn. Store in the fridge for a crunchy, eerie snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. First, cover a cookie sheet with parchment or waxed paper. Spread a single layer of popcorn across the bottom, then scatter some nuts over the top.
  2. Combine the dark chocolate chips and black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at 50% power for 60 seconds, stir, then continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until fully melted. If you want a deeper black, stir in 5 to 10 drops of black icing color.
  3. Drizzle the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the popcorn layer.
  4. Place the pan in the freezer and let it set until completely firm.
  5. While the bark is chilling, melt the red candy melts using the same method as before.
  6. Pour the melted red candy over the hardened bark, then top with a sprinkle of fresh popcorn. Return the pan to the freezer to set quickly, then keep the finished bark stored in the refrigerator.
