These Cheese Stuffed Pumpkin Shaped Bites are a fun and festive Halloween snack. Made with crescent rolls, mozzarella cheese sticks, and pretzel sticks, they are shaped like tiny pumpkins using kitchen twine. Bake until golden, then add a pretzel stem for a cute and tasty treat.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat your oven to 375°F and cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each mozzarella cheese stick into 4 equal pieces.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Shape each triangle into a ball.
  4. Flatten each dough ball into a disc, place one cheese piece in the center, then wrap the dough around it to form a ball.
  5. Cut a piece of kitchen twine about 10 to 12 inches long. Starting at the top of the dough ball, wrap the twine around the middle toward the bottom. At the bottom, cross the twine and wrap it back up toward the top in a different direction. Twist at the top and go back down. Repeat this crisscross pattern 3 or 4 times (no more than 4), then tie off the twine. Do this for all dough balls.
  6. Place the wrapped dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until they are lightly golden brown.
  7. Let them cool for about 10 minutes, then carefully snip and remove the twine with scissors.
  8. Break each mini pretzel stick in half. Insert one half, broken side down, into the top of each pumpkin-shaped bite.
