Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at justataste.com.
These cheesy breadstick bones are made from pizza dough shaped like bones, brushed with butter, and topped with Parmesan and mozzarella. They bake up golden and gooey, perfect for dipping in warm marinara sauce at your Halloween party.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat your oven to 375°F. Cover two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Dust a clean work surface with a little flour.
- Split the dough into 10 equal pieces. Form each piece into an 8-inch rope that is slightly thicker at the ends. Place 5 ropes on each baking sheet, leaving at least 2 inches between them. Snip a 1-inch slit into both ends of each rope and gently pull the cut sections apart to create bone ends.
- Paint the breadsticks with melted butter and scatter Parmesan cheese over them. Bake for 15 minutes, then take them out and top with mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven for another 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
