These Chocolate Covered Ghost Strawberries are a fun and easy Halloween dessert. Simply dip fresh strawberries in melted white chocolate, then decorate with black icing to create ghost faces. Chill until set and serve for a spooktacular snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Select 12 large strawberries, wash them thoroughly, and pat them completely dry. Proper drying helps the chocolate stick.
  2. Put 8 ounces of white chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth and melted. A double boiler also works.
  3. Hold each strawberry by its stem and dip into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the fruit. Let extra chocolate drip off, then place on a tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. While the chocolate is still soft but slightly set, use black cookie icing to draw ghost faces on each strawberry. Simple eyes and mouths give them a spooky look.
  5. Refrigerate the strawberries for 15 to 20 minutes until the chocolate is fully hardened.
  6. Arrange the chocolate-covered ghost strawberries on a serving platter and serve.
