This Halloween taco dip layers cream cheese, guacamole, salsa, and cheese for a festive appetizer. A sour cream spider web and a black olive spider add a creepy touch. Serve chilled with tortilla chips for a spooky snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, and the taco seasoning packet. Stir until the mixture is smooth and uniform. Then, spread this base layer evenly across the bottom of a shallow serving dish or a pie plate.
  2. Carefully spread the guacamole over the cream cheese layer, taking care not to blend the two layers together.
  3. Evenly distribute the salsa or taco sauce on top of the guacamole.
  4. Top the salsa with shredded cheese, then add the chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.
  5. To create the spider web, spoon some extra sour cream into a small plastic sandwich bag. Snip off a tiny corner and pipe several concentric circles of sour cream on the dip's surface. Then, take a toothpick and pull thin lines from the center outward to form a web pattern.
  6. For a creepy garnish, make a black olive spider: cut one olive in half crosswise for the body, and slice another olive into thin strips for the legs. Place it on the dip.
  7. Chill the dip in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve. Present it cold with tortilla chips.
