- Use a pen or pencil to draw the Jack-O-Lantern pattern or design over the pumpkin.
- Use a knife to cut open the top of the pumpkin.
- Hollow out the pumpkin using an ice cream scoop.
- Carve out the design using the sharpest knife in the house, a wooden spoon, and a pencil.
- Spray the pumpkin inside and out using a bathroom cleanser containing bleach.
- Allow the cleanser to evaporate on its own for at least 5 minutes.
