This tutorial guides you through painting a frame black, backing it with festive fabric, and mounting a plastic pumpkin half for a quick and festive Halloween decoration.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Apply a coat of satin black spray paint to the unfinished wood frame. Let it cure completely before moving on.
  2. Turn the frame face down and use a hot glue gun to attach the Halloween fabric across the back, ensuring the entire opening is covered.
  3. Cut away any extra fabric around the edges so it remains hidden when the frame is flipped upright.
  4. Mount the fabric-covered frame on your wall with a hammer and nail. Position the plastic pumpkin half in the center of the opening, then secure it by hammering a small brad through the fabric and into the pumpkin.
