Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 160°C/140°C fan/gas mark 3. Prepare a 12-cup muffin tray with paper liners. In a large pan, gently melt butter, chocolate, sugar, and 100ml hot water, stirring occasionally. Let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the egg and vanilla extract. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cups, filling them about three-quarters full. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the tops spring back when touched. Allow to cool.
- Refer to the image provided for inspiration. If the fondant is sticky, pat small pieces onto the cooled cupcakes instead of rolling it out. Mix yellow and red fondant to create orange icing. Create additional decorations such as hair and mouths using fondant and attach them with a little water. Use the icing pens to draw details and add eyes wherever desired.
