This Halloween bark recipe combines melted chocolate with festive candies like M&M's, candy corn, and peanut butter cups adorned with candy eyes. Simply melt the chocolate, spread it thin, top with goodies, let it set, then break into pieces. It keeps well, so you can make it ahead for stress-free entertaining.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Chop the almond bark or chocolate into small chunks and put them in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Heat in the microwave on high for 30 seconds, then remove and stir. Keep repeating until the chocolate is fully melted.
  3. Use a tiny bit of the melted chocolate to glue candy eyes onto the mini peanut butter cups.
  4. Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate onto the center of the parchment. Quickly spread it with a spatula to about 1/4 inch thick. Before it sets, sprinkle on the M&M's, candy corn, peanut butter cups with eyes, and sprinkles.
  6. Let the bark harden for roughly 30 minutes.
  7. Lift the parchment paper and gently crack the bark into irregular pieces.
  8. Store in an airtight container, or put a few pieces in a sealable plastic bag to give as treats.
  9. If stored properly, the bark keeps for a long time. I often make it a week early to ease party prep.
