A spooky marble of colored cake layers with a drizzle of Halloween frosting—perfect for your party!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at lovebakesgoodcakes.com.
This easy Halloween Bundt cake starts with a boxed white cake mix divided into four colors—orange, purple, black, and green—layered in the pan. After baking and cooling, a tinted white frosting is drizzled in stripes over the top, and optional sprinkles add a festive finish.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat your oven to 325°F. Thoroughly grease a 12-cup Bundt pan and set it aside.
- Mix up the cake batter following the instructions on the box of white cake mix.
- Divide the batter into four parts: put 1 cup into each of three bowls, and leave the remaining batter in the mixing bowl. Color the three cups orange, purple, and black, and tint the leftover batter green using gel food coloring.
- Pour the orange batter into the bottom of the prepared Bundt pan. Gently layer the purple batter on top, then the black, and finally the green. Do not mix or swirl the layers.
- Bake according to the box directions for a Bundt pan, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
- Turn the cake out onto a wire rack placed over a cookie sheet. Allow it to cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- Divide the white frosting into four microwave-safe bowls. Color each bowl with orange, purple, black, and green gel food coloring. Microwave each bowl for a few seconds until the frosting is thin enough to drizzle.
- Drizzle the colored frostings one at a time over the cooled cake, creating a striped pattern. If you like, top with Halloween sprinkles.
- Let the frosting set before slicing and serving. Store any leftovers loosely covered at room temperature.
