These cute ghost strawberries are made by dipping fresh strawberries in white chocolate, then decorating them with dark chocolate faces. They set quickly at room temperature or in the fridge, making them a perfect spooky snack for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Melt the white chocolate melts using a double boiler or microwave. For the double boiler, put the melts in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water and stir until smooth. For the microwave, heat the melts in a microwave-safe bowl for 1–2 minutes in 20-second bursts, stirring after each interval until fully melted and smooth.
  2. Rinse the strawberries and pat them dry. Then dip each one into the melted white chocolate, leaving a small uncoated area at the bottom to create the ghost's base.
  3. Place the coated strawberries on a platter lined with wax paper or parchment paper. Allow them to set at room temperature until firm. If the room is warmer than 70°F (20°C), refrigerate for 15–30 minutes.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate melts using the same double boiler or microwave method.
  5. Dip a toothpick into the melted dark chocolate.
  6. Use the dark chocolate on the toothpick to draw ghostly eyes, a nose, and a mouth onto each strawberry.
  7. Let the decorated strawberries sit at room temperature until the dark chocolate hardens. If the temperature is above 70°F (20°C), place them in the refrigerator for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Once both chocolates are fully set, your Halloween chocolate-covered strawberry ghosts are ready. Arrange them on a festive platter and serve at your Halloween party or as a fun snack. Watch as guests delight in these cute and tasty treats.
