Directions
- Set your oven to 350°F.
- Put parchment paper on a baking tray and arrange saltine crackers in neat rows.
- In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar, heat until melted, then bring to a boil. Let it boil for 2 to 3 minutes while stirring nonstop until the mixture thickens.
- Pour the hot butter-sugar mixture over the crackers and use a rubber spatula to spread it evenly.
- Bake for 4 to 5 minutes or until it turns brown and bubbly.
- Take the pan out and scatter chocolate chips over the top.
- Allow the chips to soften for 5 minutes, then use a rubber spatula to spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.
- Decorate with your favorite Halloween candies: we used candy eyes, Halloween sprinkles, Reese's Pieces, and candy corn.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm, at least 1 to 2 hours.
- Break the sheet into irregular pieces and serve. Keep leftovers in a freezer-safe zip-top bag.
