Ingredients
Directions
- Use the back of a spoon or roll the eggs on the counter to create fine cracks all over the shells, keeping the shells intact.
- Fill a container with enough water to submerge the eggs, then stir in your chosen food coloring until well mixed.
- Place the cracked eggs into the colored water, adding more water if needed to fully cover them.
- Seal the container with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate the eggs for at least 3 hours, or let them soak overnight for deeper color.
- After soaking, remove the eggs and rinse them with water and a splash of white vinegar to set the color.
- Carefully peel the eggs and discard the shells.
- Slice each egg in half lengthwise and gently pop out the yolks into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. If desired, add a drop of food coloring to tint the yolk mixture.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
- For a finishing touch, sprinkle with paprika, chia seeds, or parsley.
- Chill the deviled eggs before serving.
