Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at crazyforcrust.com.
This Halloween fudge recipe creates a two-layer fudge using semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla. After chilling the first layer, you top it with orange-tinted white fudge and press in candy corn for a festive look. It's easy to make and perfect for parties or gifting.
Ingredients
Directions
- Line an 8-inch square pan with foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 5 fluid ounces (180g) of sweetened condensed milk. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second increments at 50% power, stirring each time, until the mixture is melted and smooth. Stir in ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan using an offset spatula.
- Refrigerate the pan for 10 minutes to let the first layer set.
- In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and the remaining 5 fluid ounces (180g) of sweetened condensed milk. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second increments at 50% power, stirring each time, until smooth. Stir in ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract and a few drops of orange gel food coloring. Spread this mixture over the chilled first layer using an offset spatula.
- Immediately press 24 pieces of candy corn into the top in neat rows (or add more for smaller pieces).
- Chill the fudge until firm, then slice and serve at room temperature.
