Ingredients
Directions
- Using Halloween-themed cookie cutters, cut shapes out of the corn and flour tortillas. Ensure you have enough for three layers on a baking sheet. Heat oil to 350°F. Fry the tortilla shapes until they are golden and crispy, about 2 minutes, flipping halfway for even browning. Transfer to a paper towel-lined tray to drain and sprinkle with salt right away. Also cook the leftover scraps; overcrowding the fryer is fine for those.
- Line the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet with the fried tortilla chips. This first layer is perfect for using up the cooked scraps.
- Spread one third of the taco beef, beans, green onions, jalapeño slices, cilantro, salsa, and cheese over the chips. Repeat the layers, using scraps and some of the Halloween-shaped chips. For the top layer, arrange all the Halloween-shaped chips creatively, placing them over the toppings and around the edges for a festive look.
- Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Serve with additional salsa, sour cream, tomato, lettuce, or taco sauce as desired.
