Ingredients
Directions
- Combine granulated sugar, light brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, vanilla, and water in a small saucepan. Heat to a boil while stirring constantly. Gradually stir in black food coloring until the mixture turns thoroughly black. Continue boiling and stirring for a few more minutes until it thickens. Take off the heat and reserve.
- In a large bowl, mix Bisquick, milk, eggs, pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoons sugar, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and red/yellow/orange food coloring until uniformly combined. Drop batter by 1/4-cup portions onto a hot greased griddle. Cook each side until golden brown, approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Move pancakes to serving plates, drizzle with the black syrup, and serve immediately.
