These Halloween skull cakes start with a simple chocolate cake mix, baked in skull-shaped molds. After cooling, they're frosted with vanilla icing dyed black and orange, then decorated to your liking. It's an easy, festive dessert perfect for any Halloween party.

- Heat your oven to 350°F.
- Combine the chocolate cake mix with 1 cup water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, and 3 eggs, stirring until the batter is smooth.
- Fill skull-shaped cake molds with the batter.
- Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick (it should come out clean).
- Allow the cakes to cool completely, then apply vanilla frosting tinted with black and orange food coloring and decorate as desired.
