This project involves painting three stackable pumpkins black and decorating them with a B and O's using 3-D paint. The top pumpkin features a stylized B, while the lower ones have O's containing spiral circles and spider webs. A spider is added to complete the Halloween theme.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Apply a full coat of black spray paint to each of the three pumpkins, ensuring complete coverage. Allow the coating to dry thoroughly before moving to the next stage.
  2. On the pumpkin intended for the top of the stack, sketch a large letter B. On the two lower pumpkins, draw the letter O.
  3. Style the letter B with decorative curls at the ends and allow some of the paint to drip down for a spooky effect.
  4. Inside each of the O shapes, draw a spiral circle to add an extra layer of visual interest.
  5. Within the O shapes, sketch a spider web pattern.
  6. Create the web by drawing a wide sideways V, adding a vertical line down the center, and then connecting the V's arms with horizontal paint strokes at two points.
  7. Finish the design by adding a spider. You can form the spider's body using a circle or a child's thumbprint, then add eight small legs.
