This Halloween tree project starts with a thin bargain tree, bulked up with dollar store air plant vines and painted black. Create custom pumpkin ornaments from ornament balls using chalk paint and a jack-o'-lantern design. Decorate with purple fairy lights and black ribbon for a hauntingly festive display.

Directions
- Use a thin, inexpensive tree as your base. Cut dollar store air plant vines into pieces and attach them to the tree tips with hot glue. Then spray paint the entire tree black (or your chosen color) so the added greenery blends in.
- To craft pumpkin ornaments, remove the caps from ornament balls and glue them back on. Push a piece of craft wire through the cap hole and twist it to form a hook. Apply two coats of chalk paint as a primer. Then paint the ornaments orange, add a brown nook, and paint a black jack-o'-lantern face. Finish with a coat of clear wax for protection.
- Hang the completed pumpkin ornaments on the tree.
- Finish the tree by adding purple fairy lights and a black ribbon.
