These Halloween walnuts are easy to make with candy melts and a few decorations. Dip walnut halves in orange, white, or green candy melts, then add M&M stems or candy eyes to create pumpkins, mummies, and monsters. Chill until set for a fun, crunchy holiday snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare a plate or baking sheet by lining it with parchment or wax paper, making sure it fits in your fridge.
  2. Place orange candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat at 40% power or defrost for 1 minute. Stir well, then continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Dip walnut halves into the melted orange candy, then set them on the prepared paper. While the coating is still wet, press a green M&M onto one end to form a stem. Chill in the refrigerator until firm, about 30 minutes.
  4. Melt white candy melts using the same method as step 2. Dip walnut halves into the white coating and place on the paper. Use a spoon to drizzle extra white chocolate over the walnuts to resemble bandages. While still wet, attach candy eyes. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
  5. Melt green candy melts using the same method. Dip walnut halves into the green coating and transfer to the paper. While still wet, add candy eyes. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
