This Halloween witch guacamole is as delicious as it is festive. The creamy avocado dip is shaped into a face with olive eyes, an avocado nose, a bell pepper mouth, and carrot hair, then topped with blue corn chips forming a hat. It’s a perfect party appetizer that comes together quickly.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Use a potato masher, fork, or pastry blender to mash the avocados in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Add the minced garlic, diced tomatoes, diced onion, lime juice, minced cilantro, and optional jalapeño. Stir everything together until thoroughly combined.
  3. For best results, serve right away. If making ahead, spread a thin layer of lime juice on top to prevent browning, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate. When ready to serve, stir again to mix in the lime juice.
  4. On a large platter, arrange the guacamole into the shape of a face.
  5. Use the black olive halves to create eyes.
  6. Place an avocado slice in the middle for the nose.
  7. Add a thin strip of red bell pepper beneath the nose to form the mouth.
  8. Position carrot sticks on both sides to resemble witch hair.
  9. Top with blue corn tortilla chips arranged in the shape of a witch's hat.
