These no-bake Haunted Haystacks combine melted butterscotch with crispy chow mein noodles and peanuts. Press candy corn and Halloween sprinkles on top for a festive finish. Let them set for about half an hour before serving.

  • baking sheet
  • wax paper

Directions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet by covering it with wax paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the butterscotch chips in 30-second bursts, stirring each time until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Add the chow mein noodles and salted peanuts to the melted chips, mixing thoroughly so everything is coated.
  4. Using a spoon, place dollops of the mixture onto the wax paper-lined sheet.
  5. Right away, gently press a few candy corn pieces and some orange and black sprinkles into the top of each mound.
  6. Allow the haystacks to set until they are firm, which takes roughly 30 minutes.
