Ingredients
Directions
- Bake 3 regular cupcakes and 25 mini cupcakes using your preferred recipe or mix. Allow them to cool completely.
- Arrange on a large cake board: place one large cupcake at the top of each witch's face area. Surround each face cupcake with mini cupcakes—above and around for hair, below for the outfit. Create three clusters for Sarah, Winifred, and Mary. Refer to the photo for exact placement.
- Use a flat or offset spatula to spread light skin tone buttercream evenly over each large cupcake, covering the entire surface.
- Pipe the hair: For Sarah, attach a Wilton 1M tip to a piping bag filled with pale yellow buttercream and pipe rosettes around the top and sides of her face cupcake. For Winifred, use reddish orange buttercream to pipe rosettes in a tall, wavy shape. For Mary, use dark chocolate brown buttercream to pipe rosettes forming a rounded, high updo.
- Pipe the outfits: Below Sarah's face, pipe red rosettes for her dress. Below Winifred, pipe green rosettes. Below Mary, pipe yellow rosettes.
- With a small round piping tip, pipe each witch's eyes and mouth using black and red buttercream. Don't forget Sarah's mole!
