This guide walks you through crafting Halloween felt eyeball flowers by layering notched felt strips around ornament edges, attaching jagged-edged petals in alternating colors, and securing sticks to the back. The final arrangement is styled with black faux foliage and festive Halloween accents for a festive centerpiece.

Directions

  1. Measure and slice a 2-inch wide band of felt that wraps completely around the eyeball ornament. Trim small notches along the full length of this strip using regular scissors.
  2. Apply hot glue to the back of the notched felt band and press it firmly against the outer edge of the ornament.
  3. Cut another felt strip, this time 4 inches wide, matching the ornament's circumference. Fold it in half lengthwise and seal one open edge with hot glue. Trim notches along the remaining unglued edge, then adhere this second layer to the ornament just beneath the first strip.
  4. Trace and cut five petal shapes from two distinct felt colors. Run pinking shears along the edges of each petal to create a jagged, decorative border.
  5. Glue the petals to the bottom of the ornament. Start by spacing out the first color evenly around the underside, then fill the gaps with petals from the second color.
  6. Pierce a hole through the back of the ornament with scissors and insert a stick, securing it with hot glue. Cut a small felt circle, slice it halfway to the center, and wrap it around the base where the stick meets the ornament to hide the joint. Optionally, wrap the stick with a pipe cleaner for a fuzzy, dark finish.
  7. Place the finished flowers in a vase filled with black artificial leaves for a spooky centerpiece. Enhance the arrangement by adding mini pumpkins, vampire teeth, or other festive Halloween accessories around the blooms.
