This tutorial shows how to apply pearly eyeshadow, pink blush, adhesive jewel tiara, lotion and glitter, and sparkly lipstick to create a fairy princess look. The steps use common makeup supplies and include a tip to check for adhesive allergies. Finish with a costume to complete the enchanting transformation.

Directions

  1. Start by applying a pearly eyeshadow to the eyelids. Choose a shade that complements the costume, such as shimmery blue, pink, or purple. You can use a wet eyeshadow or a shimmering face paint. Extend the color all the way to the eyebrows so it stands out. Then, with a sponge or your finger, blend a lighter pearly eyeshadow above the eyebrows.
  2. Sweep pink blush onto the apples of the cheeks and blend upward to the top of the cheekbones.
  3. Place a self-adhesive glittery jewel in the center of the forehead to mimic a princess tiara. Add more jewels under the eyebrows, on the cheekbones, or wherever you prefer. These adhesive jewels are often found in the scrapbooking aisle of craft stores. Before using, check that your child has no allergic reactions to the adhesive.
  4. Avoiding the eye area, apply a small amount of face lotion to the cheeks and around the tiara jewels on the forehead. Ask the child to close their eyes, then sprinkle cosmetic glitter over the lotioned areas.
  5. Finish by applying sparkly pink lipstick or tinted lip gloss. Complete the fairy princess look with the costume.
