This tutorial uses simple makeup techniques and an eye patch to create a pirate look. Steps include adding grime, darkening brows, shading under one eye, and applying stubble or a fake mustache.
Directions
- Use a makeup sponge to apply brown and yellow eyeshadow to the child's cheeks, forehead, and down the neck for a grimy look.
- Make eyebrows appear thicker and messier by filling them in with eyeshadow or an eyeliner pencil.
- Place an eye patch over one eye.
- For the visible eye, apply dark brown eyeshadow beneath it to create the illusion of dark circles and accumulated grime from pirate adventures.
- Moisten a stippling sponge with brown eyeshadow or face paint, then press it onto the chin and above the lip to simulate stubble.
- As an alternative to step 5, skip makeup on the upper lip and instead attach a fake mustache with eyelash glue, spirit gum, or liquid latex.
