This DIY pilot costume uses a brown jacket, goggles, and handmade accessories. Create a 6-inch-wide faux silk scarf, assemble felt patches for flair, and craft a personalized name badge from twill tape and black fabric. Simple sewing and gluing steps make it a quick project for a flyer-inspired Halloween look.

Directions
- Using sharp scissors, cut the white faux silk across the width into two 6-inch-wide strips. Join the ends and sew them together to create a single 6-inch-wide scarf; the seam will be hidden behind the jacket collar. If the fabric frays, you can hem the edges or apply no-fray fabric glue.
- Create patches by cutting shapes from felt and bonding them with fabric glue. Feel free to design flags, stars, chevrons, ribbons, or medals—let your creativity run free.
- For a name badge, cut a piece of white twill tape long enough to hold your child's name. Then cut a black fabric piece slightly larger than the tape. Glue the tape onto the black fabric, and use a permanent black marker to write your child's last name on the tape.
