Shake and prime the pen before use, practice on scrap paper, then draw your design while rotating the pumpkin to avoid smudges. If the ink gets spotty, simply pump the pen tip again to restore smooth flow.

- Before using the Sakura Pen Touch metallic pen for the first time, hold it with the cap facing down and give it a good shake.
- Grab a piece of scrap paper or cardboard, keep the pen tip pointed downward, and pump it a few times to start the ink flow.
- Test the pen by drawing a few practice lines on the scrap paper to get comfortable with how it handles.
- On your mini pumpkin, sketch a botanical design, rotating it as you go so your hand never rests on wet ink.
- If the ink becomes uneven or patchy while drawing, give the pen tip a couple more pumps on the scrap paper to even out the flow.
