Directions
- Look for Monkey Pod Wood items at thrift stores, preferably ones with handles that look like pumpkin stems.
- Using a cheap craft paint brush, coat the wood with orange chalk paint, but leave the handle (stem) areas unpainted.
- After the paint dries, lightly sand the painted areas with high-grit sandpaper, then dust off the residue.
- With a large round brush, apply wood wax to seal and protect the surface, then buff with a clean lint-free cloth until it's no longer sticky.
- Cut a long piece of wired burlap ribbon and tie it around the handles of the wood pieces.
- Add a knotted piece of jute twine on top of the burlap ribbon, securing it with a dab of hot glue if needed.
