Directions
- Wash pumpkins with soapy water, then rinse. Ensure they are fully dry before starting.
- If you're uncertain about your design, test it on the pumpkin's bottom first. Water-based markers can be erased with a damp cotton swab; let the spot dry before repainting.
- To create flowers, start with a central dot and add six small strokes around it. Place extra dots between some blossoms to unify the pattern. Work on small areas sequentially to prevent smearing.
- For vines, use a plastic lid as a stencil to trace curved arches onto the pumpkin.
- Allow the vine outline to dry, then add leaves along its length and fill them with color. Decorate the vine's start and end with small dots for a charming effect.
- Repeat the process to add more vines, varying their placement around the pumpkin. Also orient the leaves in multiple directions.
