- In another bowl, stir together the salt, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and all-purpose flour.
- Pour the dry mixture into the wet mixture and stir gently with a rubber spatula until just incorporated—do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Line a muffin tin with parchment paper liners.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared cups, then sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top of each muffin.
- Bake for 21 to 24 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
