These Pumpkin Decorated Oreos are a fun Halloween treat. Simply coat Golden Oreos in orange candy melts, add a pretzel stem and green leaf sprinkles, then let them set for a few hours. The trick of moving them twice during drying gives a neat, sharp edge.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Set a Golden Oreo on a piece of baking parchment. Using a spoon, cover the top and a bit of the sides with melted orange candy melts that have been prepared per the package instructions and cooled slightly.
  2. Snap off a small segment of a pretzel stick to create the pumpkin stem. Press it into the candy coating on the cookie, then add green sprinkles next to the pretzel to look like leaves – large nonpareilles, leaf-shaped sprinkles, or green mini M&Ms work well.
  3. About 5 to 10 minutes after decorating, carefully move the cookies to a fresh sheet of parchment. Then move them again 15 to 20 minutes later – this helps give a clean, sharp base edge. Let them dry completely without touching, which takes a few hours or preferably overnight.
