Pumpkin Roll Party Game
Roll a pumpkin into prize lanes in this fun, Halloween-themed party game!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at playpartyplan.com.
Set up a tape grid with prizes at the end of each lane. Players take turns rolling a small pumpkin; landing in a lane wins the prize or lets them risk it later, while three strikes eliminate them. Optional final round lets winners gamble for a bigger prize.
Directions
- Lay down tape on the floor to create a grid of lanes, each wide enough for a pumpkin to rest inside. Extend the lines across the floor but stop before the far end.
- Place a prize at the end of each lane. Put smaller, less exciting prizes in the front lanes and the best prize at the very last lane.
- Decide the rolling order. Shuffle players randomly to keep the game fair.
- Players take turns rolling a small pumpkin from behind the starting line toward the grid. If the pumpkin stops completely inside a lane without touching any tape line, that player can either take the prize at the end of that lane and exit the game, or refuse the prize, take a strike, and rejoin the line for another attempt. If the pumpkin lands outside the grid, on a line, or in a lane with no prize, the player receives a strike and moves to the back of the line.
- Anyone who accumulates three strikes is eliminated with no prize. The game continues until every player is either out (three strikes) or has claimed a prize.
- Optional final round: Allow players who already won a prize to risk it by rolling again for a chance at a bigger prize. If their roll lands in a lane with a prize, they win that new prize. Otherwise they forfeit all prizes and leave empty-handed.
