White Chocolate Halloween Chex Mix

Ingredients

3 cups Chex (, rice or corn)

2 cups Cheerios

1-2 cups pretzel sticks (, broken in half)

1 cup Fall M&M's (, more for topping)

1 cup candy corn

10 ounces white chocolate (, I used Ghirardelli wafers)

Halloween sprinkles (, optional)

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, toss together 3 cups of Chex cereal, 2 cups of Cheerios, 1 to 2 cups of broken pretzel sticks, 1 cup of candy corn, and 1 cup of Fall M&M's until evenly distributed.

Place 10 ounces of white chocolate (such as Ghirardelli wafers) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 1 minute, then stir. Continue microwaving in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until fully melted. Be careful not to overheat, as white chocolate burns easily.

Pour the melted white chocolate over the dry mixture and stir until everything is well coated. Spread the coated mix onto a sheet of wax or parchment paper. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle extra M&M's and Halloween sprinkles on top for added color, if desired.

Let the mix cool and set until the chocolate hardens, which takes at least 15 minutes. Store in a zip-top bag or an airtight container. It will keep at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
