You'll need
Directions
- Cut a thin slice from the pumpkin's bottom so it sits flat, then scoop out all the insides. Secure your chosen stencil onto the pumpkin with tape, and use a pin to prick the skin along all the design lines.
- Peel off the paper template, then use a linoleum cutter to carve a continuous line connecting the pinpricks. Scrape away only the pumpkin's surface, making the groove deep enough for light to glow through.
- Place a battery-powered candle inside the pumpkin, then step back and enjoy how your carved design illuminates.
