These crescent mummy hot dogs are a fun and easy Halloween treat. Wrap hot dogs in crescent dough strips, leaving space for candy eyes, then bake until golden. Serve with mustard and ketchup for a festive snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat your oven to the temperature listed on the crescent roll dough package.
- While the oven heats, unroll the dough. If using crescent rolls, separate at the perforations to form 4 rectangles and press the seams to seal. If using a dough sheet, cut it into 4 rectangles.
- Lightly spray the dough rectangles with cooking spray.
- Place a hot dog on each rectangle. For extra flavor, lay a cheese rectangle on one side of the hot dog before wrapping.
- Wrap the dough around the hot dog, leaving a small opening near the top for the mummy's face. Make sure the hot dog is fully covered except for a gap where the eyes will go.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the remaining dough into thin strips lengthwise. These will be the bandages.
- Wrap the dough strips around each hot dog in a crisscross pattern to mimic mummy bandages, leaving space for the eyes.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put them in the preheated oven.
- Bake until the dough is golden brown and the hot dogs are heated through, typically 12–15 minutes. Watch them closely to prevent burning.
