These no-bake witch hat treats use bugle corn chips, Oreo thins, and black candy melts for a spooky snack. After dipping and assembling, refrigerate to set. Finish with optional black luster powder for extra shimmer.
Ingredients
Directions
- Melt the black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl or melting pot. Heat on high for 1 minute, stir, then reduce to 70% power for 30 seconds. If the candy overheats and thickens, add 1 tablespoon of shortening—never water. Prepare a drying station with rice and skewers.
- Dip the pointed end of each bugle corn chip into the melted candy. Place the coated bugles on skewers to dry.
- Twist apart Oreo thins and scrape off the cream filling. Dip each cookie wafer into the melted candy, then set on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes until firm. If the edges need trimming, use a microplane and smooth them with a warm finger.
- Dip the flat base of each bugle into the candy and press it onto the center of an Oreo wafer. Refrigerate for another 15 minutes to set. Optionally, brush the hat with black luster powder.
